It's 2012 and time to create new work. I have several pieces that are traveling the country. JANUARY(see potpourri gallery ) is traveling as part of Quilt National "11 and will be at the San Jose museum of Quilts, San Jose, CA from Feb. - April 2012. TWO FEET THICK (also potpourri gallery) is part of a traveling SAQA exhibit and will next be on display in Cincinnati OH in April as part of the International Festival of Quilts. I also have two pieces in another SAQA exhibition "Structures in Cloth" at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, Pueblo, CO. through the end of February. Another two pieces are on display as part of the 2012 MATERIALS HARD AND SOFT at the Center for Visual Arts, Denton, TX through April 5.
In Louisville, KY I am doing a small show of 10 pieces at the Leslie Spetz Framing Gallery, 2400 - c Lime Kiln Lane until Feb. 27. I also will be participating in the Louisville Area Fiber and Textile Art Association's (LAFTA) show at the Water Tower, 3005 Upper River Rd.(March 1 - April 6).
Last Fall I served as a juror for FORM NOT FUNCTION at the Carnegie Art & History Center in New Albany, IN. This show is another wonderful opportunity to see wonderful art quilts. It closes March 2.
